Surprise, surprise… the Summer Showcase it’s not just McFarlane (well, technically it is) but now we got some news for DC Direct as well.

All the fans, the studio, and now the licensors have great hopes for Black Adam it seems, and uncle Todd, not settling for a previously announced 12in statue and a whole wave of figures, comes back with a premium offering for the statue lovers with deeper pockets.

I guess that now we have a clearer picture: Cloaked Adam is the villain, and uncloaked is the hero? Ok, let’s just wait for the movie.

First of all, this thing is gorgeous, the level of detail is astonishing and the raw strength of this pose really stands out, and that sculpt… it’s impossible to deny the likeness of Dwayne Johnson there.

Unlike the other statue made of PVC plastic, this one is made of resin but it keeps the 1/6 scale so it could display very nicely with a Hot Toys collection in case they ignore this movie, right along a premium base with the movie logo in relief.

And of course, this one replicates the movie costume with the bleaker, toned down colors and realistic details, in contrast with the other, inspired by the classic comic looks just as drawn by Jim Lee.

Similar to the main lead on statue form, Doctor Fate is a 12″ premium statue made out of resin, with a dynamic flying/floating pose and a raised movie logo as part of the base.

Here we have another great final product, with vibrant colors (even more than the figure I believe) and a mystical pose very in line with the character’s origins. It’s also the first piece of media that gives us a very clear look at the blue part of the suit and cape, which actually turns out to be filled with hieroglyphs and Anhks as part of its texture!

And even if the cape itself isn’t fabric, the sculpting of it is incredibly realistic and sports a natural yet awesome flow and weight.

All in all, these are great additions to any collection, so let us know if you’re picking them up today!
